Evan and Michelle recently celebrated the anniversary of their fifth year of dating. As a romantic gift for Michelle, Evan booked a fall photoshoot with me. The plan as she knew it was to have an afternoon couple's portrait session at the Wayside Inn Grist Mill, with Lilah, their black lab puppy. What she didn't know was that Evan planned to propose to her during our photo session! For the first 20+ minutes, we captured pictures with Lilah under the maple trees and by the brook. Just before we moved to the proposal spot, Michelle did a quick outfit change. The timing was perfect. It gave Evan and I a few minutes to review the logistics we had previously discussed on the phone. For their portraits, I was shooting with a 24-70mm lens. Switching from that to my camera with a 70-200mm lens was the first cue. I took four shots and stepped back a little further to give them more privacy. I asked them to hug so I could capture a candid picture and after that, Evan proceeded with his proposal. Here are some of the sweet moments I captured.
Congratulations Michelle & Evan!
Best wishes for a lifetime of love and happiness!
