We lucked out with a 78 degree fall day for Ryan's senior portrait photo session at Wellesley College. I have a few favorite spots on campus where I like to capture portraits. One of them is the area right outside Walsh Alumnae Hall. This spot offers both nature and old architecture to use as backdrops.

In these first two shots you'll notice a beautiful blurred backdrop with round bokeh. Bokeh is the aesthetic quality of the blur produced by the lens, in the out-of-focus parts of an image. It makes the subject pop, in this case Ryan!
