A Cold Weather Senior Photo Portrait Session, Wellesley Massachusetts
Have you ever heard the term "Hardy New Englander"? Well you are looking one! I photographed Alex on a 37 degree day last month. We were on a mission to capture a variety of images for Alex to choose from, for his high school senior yearbook photo. He handled the cold weather like a true professional! I was amazed by his ability to withstand the cold and hold his poses. Below are some favorite shots from his photo session.
Winter portrait photography tip! Everyone gets rosy cheeks, a reddish nose and pink finger tips when they're out in the cold for an extended period of time. A little pink/red skin is normal and looks good portraits. However, the cold tends to bring out too much red in the skin. To help reduce it, suggest that your subject wraps a scarf around their face, especially their nose and wear gloves in-between poses. This simple step will reduce your editing time tremendously!
