From choosing the perfect location within a 20-mile radius of Wellesley to selecting outfits and discussing your vision, I’ll help you feel confident and prepared.
Sessions are held on Saturdays only, and each one includes a 1-hour photoshoot with one outfit change. Whether you’re drawn to golden fields, historic town greens, or wooded trails bursting with fall color, MetroWest offers stunning backdrops that elevate every portrait. I’ll guide you through natural posing and candid moments so your personality shines through.
After the shoot, you’ll receive access to a private online gallery, hosted for 10 days, featuring 24+ hand-edited images to view and purchase separately. I also provide post-session website and ordering support to help you navigate product options and select your favorites. From digital files to fine art prints, there’s something for every style and budget.
Please note that the $265 sitting fee covers the session experience only, it does not include images or printed products. Packages and à la carte pricing are available. Clients typically invest $275-$650 on their photography products, depending on your product choices. I’m happy to walk you through options to find what works best for your needs.
For seniors under 18, a parent or guardian must be present during the session. I also offer acne retouching for an additional $100, ensuring your final images look polished while still feeling natural. If you’re located outside the 20-mile radius of Wellesley, travel fees will apply, but I’m always open to exploring new locations that are meaningful to you.

Of course, the exact bloom time is still to be determined, since nature doesn’t follow a strict calendar. But I’ve planned these dates to align with the farm’s typical peak, and I’ll be keeping a close eye on the flowers to make sure we catch them at their best.
Colby Farm is one of the most iconic spots in Eastern Massachusetts, and it’s easy to see why. The energy in the UMass Club in Boston was absolutely electric! Last Friday marked the 6th annual Birthday Shuffle, a casino-themed fundraiser and silent auction, and what a night it was. As the event photographer for the evening, I had the best seat in the house, capturing all the glitz, glamour, and genuine generosity that filled the room.
From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement. The casino theme was in full swing, with roulette wheels spinning, cards being dealt, the cling-clang of coin operated slot machines, and the clatter of chips creating a lively soundtrack. Everyone looked ready to try their luck for a fantastic cause.
And what was that cause? The incredible Birthday Wishes, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing joy and celebration to homeless children by providing them with birthday parties. Knowing that the fun and games of the evening would directly translate into smiles and happy memories for these kids made the whole event even more meaningful.
My lens was busy all night, capturing the smiles of friends catching up, the focused concentration around the gaming tables, and the enthusiastic bidding wars during the silent auction. There were some truly amazing items up for grabs, from weekend getaways to signed New England Patriots and Boston Bruins memorabilia, and the generosity of the attendees was truly inspiring. Every click of my shutter felt like it was preserving a moment of collective kindness. I loved watching people discover a winning hand, their faces lighting up with surprise and delight. It was clear that everyone was there not only to have a good time but also to support a truly worthy organization.
The silent auction was another highlight. People carefully perused the diverse array of items, strategizing their bids and hoping to snag a coveted prize. The air crackled with anticipation as the closing time approached, and the final bids were placed with a flurry of excitement.
As the night drew to a close, and the final chips were cashed in, there was a palpable sense of accomplishment in the room. The 6th annual Birthday Shuffle was undoubtedly a resounding success. It was a testament to the power of community, the joy of giving, and the incredible work of Birthday Wishes.
For me, as the photographer, it was an honor to document such a special evening. Being able to capture the energy and the heartfelt support for such a wonderful cause is truly rewarding. I left the UMass Club that night with a camera full of memories and a heart full of warmth, already looking forward to next year's Birthday Shuffle!

Many of my senior portrait photography clients ask similar questions when they inquire about a photoshoot. In this blog post, I highlight the most frequently asked questions I receive and the answers.
1. How much does a photo session cost? |

Professional senior photography fees vary throughout the country and every photographer sets their own fees for each genre they shoot. Digital photographs and physical prints are purchased separately, packages and a la Carte pricing is available, with no minimum ordering requirements.

2. Can you recommend an outdoor location for our senior portrait session? |
|

3. What is your senior portrait photography style? |
|
My senior portrait photography style is timeless with a creative twist! I prefer a classic look with polished poses and a focus on clean, outdoor nature backgrounds. This style is perfect for capturing a variety of headshots, casual and formal portraits, that will give you plenty of picture options to choose from for your yearbook. 4. What is the best time of day for a picture session? |
|
As a rule of thumb, two to three hours after sunrise and before sunset offer the best lighting for outdoor portrait photography. I use the website time and date to plan my session times throughout the year.

5. Can I bring my dog to the photoshoot? |
|
Yes! and... maybe? Your dog is welcome to join our session provided the session location allows dogs on their property.
|
6. What happens if there's bad weather on our session day? |
|
Living in New England means living with unpredictable weather. If rain is in the forecast, I will make the call to proceed or reschedule the session 1-2 hours before the start time. No one wants soggy wet feet and clothes while having their pictures taken, so 99% of the time we will reschedule for the next available date. Dark stormy cloud covered days with or without rain produce poor light quality for photography. I often reschedule on those days too.

7. What should I wear for my senior pictures? |
|

8. When can I expect to see my pictures? |
|
Fully edited images are ready 5-10 days after the photo session. A private online viewing gallery is provided as part of the service fee.

9. Do you offer photo retouching? |
|
Yes, light retouching is part of my editing process. Some retouching examples include, to remove a stray hair, a spot on a shirt etc. I will not edit images to reduce the look of cellulite, make someone appear thinner, remove braces, change clothing colors etc. Acne retouching is available for an additional fee.

10. What should I bring with me to the photoshoot? |
|
I advise my clients to bring any props they want to include in their pictures (ex. a diploma, a musical instrument etc.). I also recommend bringing a snack, a drink, bug spray, and hairspray to tame static hair.

]]>Helpful Planning Tips to keep you Organized and Camera Ready for your Photoshoot!
Senior year is such a busy time, you use a checklist for every fun event. As a senior photographer, I understand the importance of calendar management. In this blog post, I give specific planning tips for creating an optimal timeline and checklist for your senior photoshoot. Number one on the list is hiring your senior photographer. Before you do so, you will need some information from your high school:
- What is the deadline for submitting your yearbook photo?
- Does your school have specific guidelines for the type of photo you can submit?

Some schools require a formal headshot portrait with a solid background while others may allow a casual lifestyle portrait with a nature backdrop.

- What are the image size dimensions and which picture orientation is acceptable (vertical or horizontal).
- Your photographer will need to know how to shoot your portraits and what size to edit it down to for you. Check with your high school yearbook committee if you don't know the answers.
Book your photographer well in advance, so you can be sure to meet your yearbook deadline! Ask your friends and family for recommendations. Google "senior photographers near me", for an easy way to see a list of local photographers in your area. Review several photographer's websites to learn about their services, session pricing and information about the digital collections and print products they offer. Also, be sure to look at their senior gallery to see examples of their pictures and shooting style.
Create Your Timeline
The days leading up to your senior picture session will go by in a blur. Use the following tips to create your own custom checklist and stay organized. You might want to have a plan for what to do the month before, the week and day before as well as the day of your photoshoot.
One Month Before Your Photo Session
|
The sooner you book the better, especially if you need a weekend session. Many senior photographers book months in advance. |
|
Schedule your haircut appointment for no later than two weeks before your session. The two week cushion will allow your hair to grow out a little. |
|
If you want your hair to be professionally styled for your senior pictures, be sure to book an appointment well in advance. |
|
Shop in your own closet and then think about what you might need to complete an outfit. |
|
Poses should look and feel natural. Look around for examples. Check your photographer's senior gallery, Pinterest, and your friend's senior pictures for inspiration. Your photographer will have lots of ideas and will help guide you. |
One Week Before
|
Do not get sunburned or get highly visible tan lines. You will look red or orange in your pictures. |
|
Think about your outfits in relationship to the poses you like. Will they work together? For example, squatting in a shorter length dress won't work. Set a reminder in your phone to share your favorite poses with your photographer. |
|
Lay your clothes out on the bed with accessories + shoes and adjust, if needed. Then try them on to make sure they fit properly. Clothes that are too baggy or too tight will make you fidget and distract you. |
The Day Before
|
It is nearly impossible to edit wrinkly clothes without compromising the image quality. Arrive to the session as wrinkle-free as possible. |
|
Your nails will show in pictures, make sure they look nice. Either keep them bare or add some gloss or a coordinating nail polish. |
|
Shoes will show in wide shot pictures. |
|
Staying hydrated for the best skin. Use some moisturize too. |
|
You don't want to be late! |
|
The Day of Your Senior Photoshoot

Professional Photo Papers:
I offer two professional photo paper options for prints, E-Surface color and True Black & White:
- Kodak Professional Endura Premium Paper (E-Surface) is a popular photographic paper. Its features include accurate rich colors with a smooth gloss photo finish.
- Ilford (True B&W) paper is designed to make black, continuous tone prints with a matte finish and resin coating.
Both photo paper types have a Standard Archival Value of 100 years for in home display.
A lustre print surface coating can be added for extra protection against UV light, fingerprints, and dust. This coating is environmentally friendly an gives the finished print a rich glossy sheen.
Frame Styles & Materials:
Metal frames are black and silver, the rest are composite frames.

Matting & Glass (add-ons)
2" mats are available in black or white. Matting increases the overall framed print size width and height by 4". Example: an 8"x10" framed print with a mat will end up being 12"x14" plus the width of the frame. Choose from no glass, regular glass, or non-glare glass. If you choose not to add a mat or glass, you must indicate the back mounting you'd like.
Installed Hanging Hardware
Depending upon the size, your framed prints will have an easel back, wire hanger, or sawtooth bracket hanging option. Composite frames are finished off with a brown paper backing. Metal frames do not have a brown paper backing. Framed nature and landscape pictures arrive ready to hang on display!
Framed Print Pricing and Ordering
Pricing for framed photography prints varies by frame style and the matting/glass add-ons you select. To view the prices for each frame style select the images you'd like to buy.
- Go to Prints and select the Print Size Range (small, standard or large).
- Click on the frame style icons to see how they each look with the print.
- Choose the matting, glass and paper type to see the final price + a preview of the framed print.

The annual Birthday Wishes Walk for Birthdays event was held last Sunday, in Natick. It was a beautiful warm afternoon full of fun and fundraising! This in-person and virtual event helped raise money for Birthday Wishes mission to bring birthday parties to homeless children. Participants and guests enjoyed free refreshments, outdoor games, face painting, raffles as well as entertainment by the JP Honk Band, Davey the Clown and DJ Al Martinez. |

During the event, many participants helped build birthday party boxes for upcoming deliveries. The boxes were neatly wrapped in brightly colored gift wrap designs for both boys and girls birthdays. Each was filled with everything needed to make a birthday celebration extra special, from cute plates & tablecloth to party games, decorations, toys, a birthday cake mix, candles and frosting. |

Race Point Beach

The Old Harbor Life-Saving Station is a historic maritime rescue station. It was built in Chatham, MA in 1897. The station was operated by the U.S. Live-Saving Service and it's successor the U.S. Coast Guard, until it was decommissioned in July 1944. The building was later obtained by the National Park Service. In 1978, it was moved by barge to Race Point Beach and turned into a museum.

"They Also Faced The Sea" is an art installation that depicts larger-than-life black and white photographs of Provincetown women of Portuguese descent. It's mounted on a building at the end of Fisherman’s Wharf in Provincetown Harbor and stands as loving tribute to the Portuguese community and its fishing heritage.

Enjoy a leisurely mid-summer night stroll while listening to live music. Birthday Wishes is non-profit organization located in Natick, Massachusetts. "The mission of Birthday Wishes is to improve and empower the lives of homeless children and their families by providing joy, play, and hope through the magic of a birthday party. Our goal is to ensure that children experiencing the trauma of homelessness in Massachusetts have the opportunity to celebrate their birthday joyfully, surrounded by family, friends, and others who care."
The organization hosts their annual CakeWalk family charity fundraiser & festival each May. This year's event was held last Sunday, at Lasell College, in Auburndale, MA. The CakeWalk is all about family fun! The festival included a 5K walk, scavenger hunt, athletic kids games and activities, a fishing pond, craft tables, a face painting station, a bouncy house, a bubble fun area, refreshments...and lots of raffles!

Are you interested in macro photography and camera lenses designed to capture tiny details? The Nikkor 105mm 2.8 for Nikon is a specialty telephoto/macro prime lens that is capable of producing images up to a 1:1 magnification ratio for life size close-ups. Photo Examples

The Nikon 105mm f/2.8 lens is a great piece of glass especially for macro work. A tripod along with good lighting are key when focusing on small subjects. The ED (extra-low dispersion) glass element minimizes the chromatic aberrations (color fringing) and the Nano Crystal lens coating along with the elongated lens hood dramatically reduce ghosting and flare. The vibration reduction and the exceptional image quality are stand out features of this lens. I love the clean, sharp, fine details it produces. I have not tested the lens in low light as most my macro work is done in natural daylight.
Always try before you buy!
I would suggest trying to rent this lens before purchasing it. Google camera gear rental shops in your area or check out Borrow Lenses.
As a small business owner, I always recommend shopping locally whenever you can! For buying online, I like B&H Photo. They offer both new and used cameras and lens at competitive prices, and the customer service department is exceptional.
