2015 presented a fresh start, in a new career...that I LOVE. I’ve been a photographer for a long time but it wasn’t until the end of 2014 that I decided to turn my creative passion into my full-time profession.
The year started off with a three day job covering a local restaurant grand opening followed by product photography for a new start up. The following winter months were slow but gave me the opportunity to develop my website, hone my marketing skills, and learn new lighting techniques. In the spring time months, I photographed concerts, headshots and senior & college graduate portraits. I was also hired by a company to photograph Boston Marathon runners with their families near the finish line. These jobs along with the positive feedback I received from my clients gave me the confidence to keep going! By the summer, I was being contacted regularly for family, senior & children’s portraits as well as various private events. Portrait sessions at the beach and at the Colby Farm sunflower field were definitely some of my favorites! In October, I celebrated my first year in business, photographed a surprise marriage proposal (so cool!), a benefit concert/after party, and several families in the beautiful fall foliage. Some of my latest projects include large group formal family portrait sessions.
A few years ago, my dream of being a full-time photographer was just that, a dream. I wouldn’t be in this wonderful new career without the love and support of my friends and family, especially my husband. Thank You!
Thank you to all of my new and repeat clients. It was my honor to photograph your life moments this year. I hope to see you again in 2016!
Happy New Year!
Dream big, work hard, don’t be afraid to fail, make 2016 your year! If you think you can, you will.
